She has a BA in English and Gender Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Master’s degrees in Women’s Studies and Library Studies. She taught an Intro to Women’s Studies course while in graduate school and counseled students and parents as a financial aid advisor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before becoming a full-time parent and part-time freelancer.
