Lonnie Woods III is a multi-hyphenate student affairs administrator, educator, and professional development consultant with more than 10 years of experience in the education field. Lonnie has expertise in the K-12 and higher education settings as well as in the nonprofit and museum education settings. His work and research examine the high school to postsecondary education pipeline and the career competencies of students pursuing the visual and performing arts.
Woods’ professional journey has taken him through notable institutions such as Pratt Institute, Maryland Institute College of Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York University, George Washington University, and The Whitney Museum of American Art. His educational background includes a BS in fine art photography from Towson University and an MA in higher education and student affairs from New York University. Lonnie is currently the assistant director of employer engagement and industry connections at California Institute of the Arts.
