Offered by the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions, this scholarship funds any student in the health professions, excluding nursing. Schools must nominate candidates for the award. The application requires a resume and essay.

Maxine Williams Scholarship

  • Amount: Varies
  • Deadline: May 15
  • Eligibility Requirements: Completed at least one term in a college-level medical assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES; minimum 3.0 GPA

Named for the first president of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), this scholarship provides financial support for a student in a program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).

Jimmy A. Young Memorial Education Recognition Award

  • Amount: Up to $1,000
  • Deadline: June 1
  • Eligibility Requirements: Enrolled in an accredited respiratory training program with a minimum 3.0 GPA

Offered by the American Respiratory Care Foundation, this scholarship supports students in respiratory training programs, with a preference for applicants who identify as students of color. The application requires an official transcript, a letter of recommendation, and a paper on respiratory care.

National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Scholarships

GoodRx offers this scholarship to meet the needs of diverse patients by creating a more equitable healthcare workforce. Healthcare students from underrepresented groups can apply for the scholarship, which recipients can renew for up to four years of funding.

Lynn Adamson Memorial Scholarship

  • Eligibility Requirements: Incoming or currently enrolled women in graduate programs at any university in the San Francisco Bay Area

Women Health Care Executives (WHCE) offers this scholarship to women pursuing a graduate-level degree in a health-related field. The merit-based scholarship considers leadership, integrity, professional strengths, and academic record.

Diversity in Health Care Scholarship

National Black Nurses Association Scholarships

Medical Group Management Association Scholarships

Members of MGMA can apply for these scholarships, which support students in undergraduate or graduate programs related to medical practice management. MGMA offers multiple scholarships with one application form so you can apply for multiple scholarships simultaneously.

TYLENOL® Future Care Scholarship

  • Amount: $10,000
  • Deadline: August 1
  • Eligibility Requirements: U.S. resident; current or incoming graduate student in medicine, nursing, or pharmacy; attending an accredited nonprofit university in the U.S.

Tylenol offers ten $10,000 scholarships and twenty-five $5,000 scholarships annually for graduate students in medicine, nursing, or pharmacy. The selection committee evaluates academic achievements, community involvement, and an essay.

Nurse Practitioner Health Association Scholarships

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Eligibility Requirements:Nurse practitioner graduate student in a master’s, DNP, or Ph.D. program

The Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation offers multiple scholarships for nurse practitioner graduate students, including opportunities for community service and gastroenterology. Other opportunities include diversity scholarships.

Graduate Student Scholarship

DNP/Ph.D. Student Scholarship

  • Eligibility Requirements: Member of NAPNAP; current or incoming student in an accredited DNP or Ph.D. program with a focus on pediatrics; minimum 3.5 GPA

The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners Foundation offers a scholarship for DNP or Ph.D. students in a pediatric-focused program. Applicants must submit a personal statement, a resume, and three letters of support from a nursing colleague, pediatric faculty member, and program director.

American Association of Nurse Practitioners Scholarships

Deborah E. Trautman Future Nurse Leader Scholarship

  • Amount: $3,500
  • Eligibility Requirements: Member of AACN’s Graduate Nursing Student Academy; attending a master’s or doctoral nursing program at an AACN-member school
