College of Saint Elizabeth

Health and Wellness Studies

The Health and Wellness Studies program at the College of Saint Elizabeth is focused on creating a number of new opportunities for students in the health and wellness industry. The program is designed to give students a solid foundation of the values, concepts and applications that are needed to make them leaders in both traditional health settings as well as the ability to work with emerging health services. The school works closely with the state board of nursing and other organizations to ensure the curriculum is supporting the real world as much as possible. This gives students the knowledge they need to be a success.

Master of Science in Health Care Management

The MS in Health Care Management has been developed with a curriculum that brings together both leadership and management in a health care setting. The program was designed by those who are currently working in the medical field along with educators to ensure that students learn all they can before getting into the real world in a position like this. The program is open to students who have undergraduate experience or real world experience in health care management or for those who are new to the field. To successfully graduate, students will need to earn a total of 36 credit hours and complete a capstone course. At least 27 of these credits must be in health care management. The rest are electives. Fairleigh Dickinson University

Department of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science

The Department of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University offers one of the accredited health care degree programs in New Jersey. The department primarily focused on chemistry and pharmaceuticals, which also leads to being a strong department for those going into medicine and health care management. The department has strong ties with local health organizations which allows students to mentor and work with some of the top professionals in their field. The department is very technologically advanced which helps all graduates be prepared for the future as medicine and health care is becoming more technologically dependent all of the time.

Master of Health Science, Clinical Research Administration Track

The master’s degree in health science offered by Fairleigh Dickinson was designed in response to the demand for highly skilled and educated professionals in both the health care and pharmaceutical industries. This particular program can be completed by earning 31 credits and features both classroom and online learning opportunities. Faculty members come from wide-ranging backgrounds including chemistry, business, pharmaceuticals and medicine. In an effort to allow students to have control of their education, they will have their choice of a number of career tracks when choosing this program. One option is the clinical research administration track this is a track that is heavily focused on research and data analysis. Ethics, learning how to interpret and explain medical literature and managing drug, device and biological studies are also covered in the curriculum.

Master of Business Administration, Health Sector Management

The MBA in health sector management at Fairleigh Dickinson is designed for health care professionals who are looking to enhance their knowledge and advance their career. Since it is designed for working professionals, this is a Saturday only program and lasts for 24 months. The curriculum of this program is designed to teach students all of the skills, knowledge and special abilities needed to be a leader in the health care industry. Students will find that course work is diverse, and the classroom will contain people from varied backgrounds. This is done because the school hopes to copy the real world experience as much as possible. Students are also highly encouraged to share personal stories in class that may help others. In order to successfully graduate from this program, a student will need to earn 51 credits. Some of these may be waived in some cases depending on the experience and background of the student.

Master of Public Administration, Health Services Administration

The MPA program at Fairleigh Dickinson has been designed to prepare graduates to enter into a variety of public services administration positions. One of the specialization options that students will have is in health services administration. Upon graduation, students will be fully prepared to enter into the workforce as health care administrators. In order to successfully graduate from the program, students will need to complete a total of 39 credit hours. These credits will be made up of 21 foundation courses which give students the information needed to enter into the public administration workforce. The remainder of the credits will be in the health services field. Students will also need to complete an internship and prepare a thesis or advanced research project. Business & Management Sciences Division

The Business & Management Sciences division at Felician College is focused on not only giving students the skills they need to succeed in the business world, but also taught by a code of ethics that sets this program apart from others. Nathan Weiss Graduate College

The Nathan Weiss Graduate College helps to support the overall goals of Kean University through its graduate curriculum. The college offers a number of graduate programs in a variety of fields. Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Health Services Administration

Students who choose the MPA in health services administration will be fully prepared to enter into a number of management positions in any health service organization. The knowledge and skills that are taught in the program will allow students to work as health service administrators and in other positions throughout the field. This is a program that is designed for both working adults in health care and for those who have little background in the field. In order to successfully graduate from this program, students will be required to earn a total of 48 credits, but six of these credits can be waived for some students based on their background. Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering focuses on giving students a solid educational experience and a number of opportunities to expand knowledge outside of a traditional classroom setting. School of Public Health

The School of Public Health at Rutgers University offers one of the accredited health care degree programs in New Jersey.
