UC Davis Graduate School of Management Teams Up With NBA’s Sacramento Kings
- UC Davis and the Sacramento Kings have partnered to highlight the university’s new master of management program.
- Students at the Graduate School of Management at UC Davis will have exclusive access to the team, including internship opportunities.
- The partnership will begin this season and continue through the 2025-2026 NBA season.
The University of California, Davis, and the NBA’s Sacramento Kings are teaming up to promote the university’s new master of management program.
The collaboration will highlight the new degree program offered by the Graduate School of Management at UC Davis and provide opportunities for students in the program to learn directly from the Kings, including two internship positions with the team.
“The Sacramento Kings have had a positive impact on many aspects of the greater Sacramento community, much like UC Davis,” Rao Unnava, the Michael and Joelle Hurlston dean of the UC Davis Graduate School of Management, said in a press release.
“‘This partnership is the joining of two organizations with a focus on providing high-quality education and career growth opportunities to the thriving community in this region.”
The business school will be the higher education partner of the team and their home arena, the Golden 1 Center, beginning this season and continuing through the 2025-2026 NBA season.
Through the partnership, Kings fans will be able to learn more about UC Davis and its graduate business degree program through promotions, videos, and other announcements during games. The university on its webpage also said it will waive the $125 application fee for Sacramento Kings fans who apply for the new program.
The master’s of management program is the “first of its kind” in the UC system and is designed for recent college graduates who want to upgrade their careers, according to UC Davis. The program can be completed in as little as nine months full-time in person, or up to 15 months part-time, fully online.
